Before establishing himself as successful futures trader, EWM spent 2 years working as an assistant cash pit trader also known as the "orange jackets," for the Nilo & Paula Brokerage firm on the floor of BM&F exchange. He honed his skills under the guidance of his brother, who was one of the most famous coffee traders in Brazil and had a seat on the BM&FBOVESPA exchange. Trading runs deep in EWM's family, with two of his uncles owning two of the biggest firms in Brazil, “Plena Consultoria e Corretora de Seguros” and “Torremolinos Corretora e Imóveis”. This opportunity gave EWM valuable exposure to the futures market and allowed him to develop a better understanding of market dynamics.
